A long overdue fresh page here for autumn 2011:
The second half of 2011 is shaping up to be interesting indeed- lots of new recordings. One new release is already out, the epic “Choice Cuts” on Delta Groove by my friend from Holland, Big Pete (Pieter v.d. Pluijm). This features a ‘who’s who’ from the California scene! I’m proud to be the “house guitarist” on the whole record.

Next, a great new recording with Raphael Wressnig's hammond, untitled as yet, is in post-production. It’s following on our concept from the “Don’t Be Afraid To Groove” record. This one is really, really tasty and has some nice work from yours truly, IMHO. Yet another one I’m really excited about, 5 cuts will finally get released featuring me with Frank Muschalle/ Peter Müller/ Dani Gugolz and Matthias Seuffert on reeds, in a real cool swing context. These guys are wonderful players and the sound and material are excellent. For fans of my swing bag...

And finally, last but not least, a big studio session is set for mid-November in Maryland at Severn Records HQ for the next Tad Robinson project. The “A Team” is all on board for this one.
That’s not to mention the short European tour with Tad Robinson, including a date with Dave Spector at ‘Blues Now’ in Basel, coming in mid-October, and finally a return to Luzern Blues Festival with the Delta Groove Harp Revue- Kirk Fletcher and I backing Big Pete, Mitch Kashmar and Randy Chortkoff- be there or be square! - Alex, Autumn 2011
